Prosecutors have asked U.S. District Judge Denise Casper to sentence James "Whitey" Bulger to two life terms, plus five years, in prison, according to Reuters.
Bulger, the convicted Boston mobster, will be sentenced at 10 a.m. Thursday.
Bulger appeared in Boston's federal court Wednesday to hear testimony from family members of his victims.
Family members called him a "rat," a "punk" and a "coward," according to Boston.com.
Other's called him "Satan" and a "bag of jailhouse rags," BostonHerald.com reported.
A jury in August found Bulger was guilty of 11 murders, racketeering, conspiracy, money laundering and firearms charges.
Bulger was arrested along with his girlfriend, Catherine Greig, in Santa Monica in June 2011 after 15 years on the run. The arrest occurred at the Princess Eugenia, a residential complex that houses one- and two-bedroom apartments, located at 1012 Third St., south of Washington Boulevard.
The FBI previously said Bulger "maintains his physical fitness by walking on beaches and in parks" with Greig.
