Woman Charged with Drug Possession, Probation Violation and Other Crimes

Mary Rowland was initially stopped by police in Santa Monica for driving without license plates.

On Sept. 27  at 5:38 p.m. a  Santa Monica Police motorcycle officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle displaying no license plates in the 1100 block of 3rd St.  

An investigation revealed that the driver did not have a driver’s license issued to her and had two outstanding warrants for her arrest.  She admitted to having some methamphetamine and heroin in her vehicle.

After a subsequent search of her vehicle, officers found .25 grams of heroin, and .08 grams of methamphetamine along with a glass smoking pipe, 7 used syringes, used cotton balls, and a large rubber band. 

She was arrested for possession of the drugs along with driving with no driver’s license, a probation violation, and two warrants; one being a no-bail warrant.
