The intersection of 11th Street and Colorado Avenue will be closed for one week beginning at 5 a.m. Monday for a rail crossing installation, the Expo Line Construction Authority said. The closure will last until 11 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15.

Northbound and southbound traffic will be closed on 11th Street at the Expo Line crossing on Colorado Avenue, and left turns onto Colorado will be prohibited. Colorado Avenue, however, will remain open.

Electronic message boards and directional signs will direct traffic and pedestrians around the construction zone. Click here for a map of the detour routes.

Just wondering what will happen to the portable "bathrooms" on 11th and Colorado? Maybe they could be temporarily moved to the lawn in front of City Hall?
