Assemblyman Bloom Hosts Open House, Food Drive

The open house will be at his Santa Monica office.

Assemblyman Richard Bloom (D-Santa Monica) will be hosting an open house and food drive Dec. 18 at his Santa Monica office.

“As we approach the holidays and make plans to spend time with our family and friends, we must remember that there are many families who are unable to have the things that we often take for granted,” he said in a press release.

The assembly is asking residents to bring non-perishable food items for families in need. The collected food will be donated to the Westside Shelter and Hunger Coalition, the Westside Food Bank, and the Jewish and Family Services SOVA Community Food and Resource Program. JFS SOVA is specially needing canned tuna, salmon, peanut butter and powdered milk, Bloom said.
