Names will be engraved on plaques which will be mounted to the wall, which will be built at Santa Monica's Woodlawn Cemetery.

The preliminary design for a wall commemorating the lives of Santa Monica residents who died in service to their country was unveiled this week as part of a Memorial Day celebration.

The commemorative wall will be located near the south entrance of the mausoleum at Santa Monica's Woodlawn Cemetery.

Names will be engraved on plaques which will be mounted to the wall.

The city is accepting donations for the construction of the wall. Those interested can find more information at www.woodlawnsm.com.
