National Weather Service Issues Wind Advisory for Santa Monica

Motorists are warned of sudden gusty cross winds.

The National Weather Service has issued a high-wind advisory for the coastal Los Angeles County areas Monday, including Santa Monica, Venice, Malibu and Pacific Palisades.

Winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph are expected, according the NWS. The advisory is in effect until noon Monday.

Motorists are advised to use extra caution and be prepared for sudden gusty cross winds, experts the weather service said. High-profile vehicles are warned to extra careful as strong winds can make driving difficult, the weather service said.
