Repaving Work Prompts Overnight 405 Freeway Closure

By City News Service

The northbound San Diego (405) Freeway will be closed for five hours overnight between Santa Monica and Wilshire boulevards in West Los Angeles.

The closure will begin at midnight and end at 5 a.m. Friday, according to Metro, which is overseeing the 405 Freeway improvement project in the Sepulveda Pass.

The closure will allow crews to conduct repaving and re-striping work. Northbound motorists will have to exit the freeway at Santa Monica then head north on Sepulveda Boulevard to Wilshire to re-enter the freeway.

The 405 Freeway will also be closed overnight at Santa Monica Boulevard on Friday and Saturday nights.
