Santa Monica City Council to Consider Changing Pier Commission, Affordable Housing

At today's regular meeting of the Santa Monica City Council, the council will consider a variety of issues and is expected to formally approve the City Bike Plan.

The Santa Monica City Council will hold its regular meeting today, at which it is expected to formally approve the city's new Bike Plan. Also on the agenda are a discussion of whether the Santa Monica Pier Restoration Commission should be reduced to seven members from 11 and how they should be appointed, and a new ordinance charging monitoring fees for the Affordable Housing Program.

The public is invited to attend the meeting, which will be held in the council chambers at City Hall, 1685 Main Street, Santa Monica, on the second floor. Public comment is also invited. Those wishing to address the council may fill out a request-to-speak form at the beginning or during the meeting. The public session of the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.
