The Federal Aviation Administration said it will meet Friday’s deadline to respond to the city of Santa Monica's complaint seeking control of the Santa Monica Airport, the Aviation International News reports.

The FAA originally had until Dec. 31 to respond, but the judge in the case extended the deadline to Jan. 10 because of “professional and personal commitments during the holidays.” The FAA had filed for an extension to Feb. 12, but the judge denied that request.
