The 4th Annual Pico Holiday Art Walk Joins Forces with Small Business Day, November 30th!

It's time for the 4th annual Pico Holiday Art Walk on Saturday, November 30. Presented by the Pico Improvement Organization and Buy Local Santa Monica, the event will be celebrated on the same day as the national event "Small Business Day." Merchants have banded together to help celebrate the upcoming holidays and support the flourishing street.

 

Start off the event by stopping into Blue 7 Gallery (3129 Pico) and/or Kronovet Realty (3019 Pico), to pick up a flyer, listing merchants who are participating in the art walk. Some shops will be open from 11am – 5pm. Others will celebrate with events that will run from 3pm – 9 pm. All day long, patrons can enjoy discounts and specials. It’s a great way to start the holiday season. Many merchants will offer events that will run into the evening such as Blue 7 Gallery, Galligan Living, Kronovet Realty Company, Upper West Restaurant and more. Live entertainment will be featured from the Overland Street Quartet who will be strolling from 4-6pm. Santa Claus will be meeting with children at Kronovet Realty.

Business owner, Robert Kronovet has been actively involved with the Pico Improvement Organization for the past ten years. He is currently the chairman. His company, Kronovet Realty, has been located on Pico Blvd for the past twenty-two years and he has seen many changes. “Pico has become a vital Boulevard for commerce, education, tourism and sports,” says Kronovet. “It's the place to open and grow your business, we love success and strive hard to achieve it.” http://www.kronovetrealty.com

Randy Ball, owner of Blue 7 Gallery (3129 Pico), has also been working to generate new business on Pico for the past several years and has been involved with the Pico Holiday Art Walk since inception. “There are so many artists’ studios and creative businesses on this part of Pico Blvd – its a simmering stew of poets, writers, artists, musicians and filmmakers,” cites Ball. The Blue 7 Gallery will be featuring a new exhibition entitled “An Artistic View of Tools.” A contest to identify certain tools will offer prizes to viewers with right answer. http://blue7gallery.com/

 

 

Chris Galligan of Galligan Living (3018 Pico Blvd.), will be hosting an event as well, and offering 50% off all merchandise and pet portraits. If you love animals, this is the gallery for you.  http://www.galliganliving.com/ Upper West Restaurant (3321 Pico), will offer happy hour through 8:00 pm and feature the Country Legends Holiday Hour (6:30 pm-8 pm). This will be the 4th annual Pico Holiday event, taking place on Saturday, November 30th from noon through 9:00 pm (be sure to check flyers for a list of each shops’ hours. Businesses will participate by offering promotions and special discounts, offering entertainment, and serving holiday treats. Flyers will be available on the day of the event featuring information, as well as the venue hours for the day’s events.
