LAST MINUTE POLITICAL BLITZ

The developer PAC, Santa Monicans United for a Responsible Future, is going all out with a last minute whirlwind of political advertising using our neighborhoods as cover.

Over the past few days, a series of deceptive pamphlets have suddenly appeared in mailboxes and on doorsteps in the Ocean Park and Mid Cities neighborhoods.  In Ocean Park, the misleading pieces have been left on gates and doorsteps in reusable bright green shopping bags emblazoned with the names of candidates they support.

These fallacious pamphlets are promoting pro development candidates for city council with the exception of Ted Winterer, who has a record of voting against projects with negative impacts on our community.

They make up generic, plain vanilla neighborhood values that are the opposite of what these developers want to bring to our city.  The developers then claim that “their” candidates are for these “pretend” values.
