An Evening with Michael Connelly & Robert Crais

As a kickoff event for the annual community reading program Santa Monica Citywide Reads, Santa Monica Public Library presents An Evening with Michael Connelly & Robert Crais on 7 p.m. Feb. 25, 2012 at the Lincoln Middle School Auditorium, 1501 California Avenue.

Santa Monica Citywide Reads is a community reading program that is produced by Santa Monica Public Library and encourages everyone to read and discuss the same novel in book discussions and special events held throughout the city.  The 2012 featured novel is the hard-boiled detective classic, The Lady in the Lake, by Raymond Chandler.  To kick off the five-week series, Santa Monica Public Library presents a very special evening of conversation with best-selling mystery authors Michael Connelly and Robert Crais, who will be discussing the influence Raymond Chandler has had on their work and the mystery genre in general.  A book sale and signing will follow the discussion.

This event is presented free to the public and is open to all ages. To accommodate more guests, the event will be held off-site, at the Lincoln Middle School Auditorium, 1501 California Avenue.  Limited parking is available on school grounds.  Guests parking on neighboring streets are advised to observe all parking signs and limitations.  Tickets for auditorium seating will be distributed as guests enter the building, until seating capacity is reached.  Seating is first come, first served.  No reservations and no seats may be held for those not present.
