Pregnancy and the post-partum period can be difficult for many women, especially those who are vulnerable to depression. Mindfulness practices can make a big difference in maintaining your spirits and handling those blue periods. Parents and parents-to-be can learn more about how depression and mood swings might affect a mother during pregnancy and after the birth of the child, and what to do about it.
Dr. Randye Semple and Dr. David Miklowitz help participants to practice a mindfulness exercise together and discuss other mindfulness resources.
