OTB educational and developmental groups are specialized classes designed to encourage brain development through multi-sensory stimulation. We are not a music class, support group, nor a Mommy & Me class. Although, we recognize and support the value of those types of classes, we are not categorized as such. Our classes are designed to be educational for both baby/child and parent. We follow the format of an educational program which includes curriculums for infants, small children, and their parents. Our groups focus on activities that stimulate the brain and enhance learning through play. All of our activities are supported by research.
The Young Toddler class is recommended for toddlers who are walking more than a few steps on their own but still working on balance and coordination. These classes introduce responsibility with "Keys of Knowledge". We start to practice more right brain/left brain activity based learning. We open and close the circle at every class and use our bodies! Gross motor activities are introduced as well as taking turns and loving and kindness activities. There is a lot of social learning in these classes as well as some child directed activities. We build with our hands, feel with our feet, and explore with our minds.
