PS#1 Elementary School's Fall Festival: See Pics

Kids take part in science experiments, arts and crafts and a children's book drive.

Kids at were there on Saturday—but not for their normal routines of going to class and running around the playground. Instead, they showed up to take part in science experiments, arts and crafts and a children's book drive, all part of PS#1's Fall Festival.

The free festival, which was open to the community, was held from 2 to 5 p.m. on the school's Field of Dreams. Kids collected gently used children books for donation to the Santa Monica Police Activities League's reading program, got spooked inside a haunted house, sung karaoke songs for kids and, of course, ate snacks.
