Quinn Barbini and Blaise Dolcemaschio of and Austin Cortina and Kevin Hammer of have made the All-CIF Southern Section Division 7 baseball team, the CIF-SS Baseball Coaches’ Association announced Monday.
Barbini, a senior shortstop and pitcher, batted .449 and slugged .774 with 31 hits, 38 runs, 20 RBIs, 14 doubles and 19 stolen bases and had eight strikeouts in 11 innings pitched.
Dolcemaschio, a junior catcher and utility player, batted .459 and slugged .892 with 34 hits, 28 runs, 39 RBIs, 12 doubles, four homer runs and 10 stolen bases for the Coastal League champions.
Cortina, a senior shortstop and pitcher, and Hammer, a junior infielder and pitcher, led Pacifica Christian to the Heritage League championship and the CIF Division 7 finals against Animo Leadership; the Seawolves at UC Riverside.
Senior James Barraza of Animo Leadership was named Division 7 Player of the Year, and Animo Leadership's Randy Garcia was named Coach of the Year.
Rounding out the All-CIF Division 7 team are: Geoff Billock and Joe Eisaguirre of Dunn; Josh Clark of Granada Hills Hillcrest Christian; Eric Deming of New Community Jewish; Daniel Esparza and Erick Garcia of Firebaugh; Damian Garcia and Andrew Negrete of Animo Leadership; Patrick Gonzales of Riverside Christian; Frank Guzman of Liberty Christian; James Howard of St. Michael’s Prep; Jackson Mauze of Cate; Alex Ruiz of Riverside Prep; Samuel Sainz of Temecula Prep; and Julian Silagy of Pacific Lutheran.
