St. Monica Catholic High School's Fundraiser for Japan Relief: See Pics

The school staged a concert on Tuesday as part of a push to raise money for the Red Cross' efforts.

's Asian Pacific Club and Japanese classes staged a Japan relief effort during lunch from 12:50 to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.

The school's "Jam for Japan" fundraiser feature performances by students, as well as a set by UCLA's Taiko group, which consists of Japanese drummers. All proceeds from the event are going to the Red Cross.

In attendance was a Japanese teacher (Miho Kobayashi) and three students—Saki Maehara, Natsuki Saito and Ayana Tamura—who are currently being guest-hosted by SMCHS families.
