Free Carousel Rides For A Good Cause

In the spirit of giving, the Santa Monica Pier Restoration Corp. is hosting a Food Drive to benefit Upward Bound House, a Santa Monica non-profit organization that helps  two vulnerable populations: homeless families with minor children and very low-income seniors.

We are asking the community to donate food items for two weeks  through Dec. 19.  Donors will receive (1) ONE free ride per person/per item on our historic Carousel plus a special offer from the latest addition to the Pier, an old-fashioned soda fountain called Soda Jerks.

Food items most needed are: grab n' go breakfast items (i.e. oatmeal, breakfast bars, pop tarts, individualized cereal to-go, granola, trail mix, juice boxes, apple sauce, etc.)
