Levy Is CIF Boys Volleyball Player of the Year

Three other Vikings make the Division 4 team and Liane Sato is Coach of the Year.

With CIF championships come accolades, and there are plenty to spread around for the boys volleyball team this spring. The Vikings this spring, and their postseason honors keep rolling in. 

On Monday, the Southern Section released its All-CIF teams, and Charles Levy, the Vikings' senior outside hitter, has been named the Division 4 Player of the Year. Levy was previously voted the Ocean League's Most Outstanding Player.

Joining Levy on the Division 4 team are three Vikings: junior middle blocker Trevor Pye, sophomore opposite hitter Dane Keckin and senior middle blocker Julian Hess. Also making the team is senior outside hitter Taylor Moldo of .

Rounding out the squad are Johnson Diep, Kevin Quach and Harrison Tang of Division 4 finalist San Gabriel; Ryan Manoogian of Windward; Andy Aguila of Culver City; Danny Geber of Torrance Bishop Montgomery; and Jeff Nadal of Santa Fe.

Samohi Coach Liane Sato was named Coach of the Year.

Hess was voted Ocean League Most Valuable Player, while Pye, Keckin, Jack Cramer and Ethan Kahan made the All-Ocean League first team. Fellow Vikings Cody O'Connell and David Cline made the second team. 

Moldo and teammate Jake Hurwitz made the Alpha League first team along with Manoogian, who was named MVP. Fellow Roadrunners Milo Charny-Rosen and Aaron Lipp made the second team.
