Samohi Players Named All-League in Hoops

Vikings Jordan Mathews, Moriah Faulk and Kristina Johnson have made the first team.

The All-Ocean League boys and girls basketball teams have been selected, and players have been named to both squads.

Making the boys' first team was shooting guard , who enjoyed a sensational sophomore season with the Vikings after transferring from North High in Riverside.

Rounding out the first team are Most Valuable Player Rhon Mitchell and Julius Bilbrew of Inglewood, Gerry Blakes and D.J. Harris of Morningside, Aamahd Walker of Culver City, and Miles Green of Hawthorne.

Vikings senior guard made the second team along with Dammond Rogers and Randy Onwuasor of Inglewood, Keilan Horton and Rufus Humphrey of Culver City, and Brandon Hood of Hawthorne.

Patrick Roy of league champion Inglewood was voted Coach of the Year.

Making the girls' first team for Santa Monica were senior guards and . Faulk averaged 13.7 points and Johnson averaged 9.3 points per game this season. Joining them on the first team are Most Valuable Player DeAnjanae Scurry and Zhane Carter of Inglewood, DeAndrea Toler of Morningside, Mikeisha Moore of Hawthorne, Lunden Junious of Culver City, and Chelsea Austin and Natalie Moy of Beverly Hills.

Senior guard-forward made the second team after averaging 10.1 points for the Vikings. Joining her on the squad are Tatiana Howard of Morningside, Taylor Tanita of Culver City, and Marcie Hill and Tiara Chisolm of Inglewood.

Anthony Scott of league champion Inglewood was named Coach of the Year.
