Santa Monica Residents in Boston Marathon: Check Out Their Results
21 local runners finished the 26.2-mile race on Monday.
History was made Monday when Kenya's won the 115th in two hours, three minutes and two seconds—the fastest time ever.
Despite shattering the previous best time of 2:03:59 set in 2008 by Ethiopian Haile Gebrselassie in Berlin, Mutai's effort is not officially a world record because the course is not considered record-eligible by the International Association of Athletics Federations.
Also completing the 26.2-mile course were 21 Santa Monica residents. Below is the list of local runners and their official times, in order of finish:
