St. Monica Volleyball Players Named All-League
Senior Tanner Peach has been named the MVP, while five other Mariners have made the first or second team.
It should come as no surprise to anyone who followed boys volleyball in the Camino Real League this spring that 's has been named Most Valuable Player.
Peach, a senior co-captain and outside hitter, led the Mariners to an undefeated league record and into the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division 5 playoffs.
Joining Peach on the first team are fellow Mariners junior middle blocker Sia Moala, and junior outside hitter and co-captain Chaz Moynaugh.
Three St. Monica players made the second team: freshman setter Max Garris, senior opposite hitter Thomas Maher and junior libero Jesse Rubio.
Peach finished the season with 359 kills (an average of 13.8), 85 blocks and 77 digs.
The Mariners finished 14-9-2 overall, beat Capisrano Valley Christian in the first round of the playoffs and lost to San Gabriel Academy, 25-22, 25-22, 20-25, 20-25, 15-11, in the second round.
