Santa Monica Seafood is a family-owned seafood retailer and distributor that has served the community since 1939. The company started on the Santa Monica Pier, then spent many years on Colorado Avenue and finally relocated to this spot in 2009. In the center of the market is a horseshoe-shaped counter displaying halibut, shark, sea bass, tuna, salmon, crab, clams, oysters and much more. Gourmet cheeses, wines, sauces, produce and bread are also sold to round out your meal. The market also has a cafe and deli, with sandwiches, chowders and entrees available for take out or eating in. An oyster bar also sits in the cafe area. Santa Monica Seafood is a major distributor of fresh fish and seafood to many restaurants. The company works with fisheries, farms and agencies that practice and support sustainable fishing practices.
