Emperor's College is an institution that seeks to advance the art and science of Asian medicine. In 1989, Emperor's…More College became the third national Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine institution to achieve national accreditation.</p> <p>The school, which one of the largest acupuncture clinics in the U.S., offers masters degrees in traditional Oriental medicine, a doctoral program (which began in 2004) for advanced clinical training in orthopedics and internal medicine and massage-certificate programs. It also features a community clinic and continuing-education seminars.</p> <p>The school encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities including tai chi and qi gong workshops, acupuncture skills practice and various academic tutorials. A student council, learning garden and library are also featured, as well as annual retreats to Big Bear and San Bernadino National Forest. Students can work on campus at a handful of part-time jobs, in the bookstore, herbal dispensary and acupuncture clinic.</p> <p>Noted alumni include Jung Min Kim, chairman of the California State Acupuncture Committee; Steven Tan, chair of the California Acupuncture Board; and multiple accupuncturists in residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.</p>
