The way we construct wood fences that sets us above our competition is we use a high end adhesive to bond the boards together . The glue is stronger than the wood. Meaning the wood will break before the glue bond will separate . This also allows us to use an almost invisible galvanized brad nail , so you won't see the heads of the nails running across the fencing . I have been working in the Malibu area for over 20 years.
