The Main Event

  • Keep hearing the computer term "Cloud" but don't know what it means? If you're a small-business owner, you're in luck, because the is hosting a workshop surrounding the digital network. The workshop will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Chamber's headquarters; it's free for non-members, $10 for members. If you go, don't forget to bring your laptop and lunch.

The Runner-Up

  • Later in the day, Sustainable Works' Green Living Workshop—which encourages participants to take a hands-on approach to tackling environmental problems—continues from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at . If you attend and complete all the workshop requirements, you'll get a gift bag with a bunch of eco-tools.

Other Happenings

  • That's not all on the workshop front today—there are also three writing-related ones in store. From 2 to 4 p.m., the hosts the self-explanatory Write On! A Teen Writer's Workshop, where participants can hone their creative writing skills and meet local authors.
  • Second, the latest Write-Away Workshop—where writers can find inspiration and support—happens at the from 12 to 2:30 p.m.
  • Also, Barnes & Noble Booksellers has a workshop of its own, a poetry-and-verse-writing group that meets starting at 10:30 a.m. Under the direction of Bill Robertson, writers can improve their skills and dedication to the craft.

Last but Not Least

  • Baby Storytime begins at the Main Library at 10:15 a.m., while Baby Time starts at the Fairview Branch at 11 a.m.
